I have upgraded to Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate 2019 and tried to copy a geometry from Autocad to Inventor sketch, as I did before: select geometry in Autocad, Copy and then go to Inventor sketch environment and tried Ctrl+V or right click but there is no Paste option.

Is there something new that I have to do here?

Are you sure you were in an active sketch?

Did you install the 2019.0.1 update?

After ctrl+v you get a bounding box and need to place that.. Maybe your zoom level is too close and you aren't seeing that..

But you should have "paste" anyways..

I have to clarify a detail: used Autocad 2019 and Inventor 2017. And I cannot paste into the sketch environment of 2019. The clipboard has the geometry but doesn't give the option for paste.

Is this because I have Autocad 2019 and Inventor 2017?

I also do not have any issues with this operation. I would suggest trying the process up to the point of copying the sketch from AutoCAD. Once this is point see if you truly have "copied" the AutoCAD sketch by trying to past it back into your current AutoCAD drawing. If that works, then I would suggest trying the same process in an Inventor sketch. The copy and paste in an Inventor sketch will place the paste directly on top of the copied entities but using the "other" selection feature, you can determine if it worked.

Now that might be a reason for sure.. Not sure if @jhackney1972 was saying he could do that (2019 acad into 2017 Inevntor).. I don't have 2017 loaded anymore so I can't try it..

I am confused by your "details" of the applications you are using. In my previous post, I can copy an AutoCAD 2019 drawing sketch into the Inventor 2019 environment. I tried copying from an AutoCAD 2019 drawing sketch into an Inventor 2017 sketch and it would not work.

Hi! I don't believe Inventor 2017 would work well with AutoCAD 2019. It is always better be in sync. AutoCAD 2018 has a new file dwg format, which Inventor 2017 is not aware of.

It is clear for me that Inventor 2017 is not accepting to paste something from AutoCAD 2019. 2017 to 2017 works, same for 2019 to 2019.

Reason for using Inventor 2017 is that not all my client have upgraded yet to latest version.
